Our philosophy and values towards innovation in the world of yachting and the constant promotion of concrete solutions for the sustainable development of our industry naturally lead us to join and support the Sustainable Yachting Network (SYN) initiative, founded by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.
Discover the initiative as described by the Foundation on their website :
Following 13 years of experience working with the yachting industry (and notably through the Wood Forever Pact between 2010 and 2018 which aimed at the sourcing of responsible wood), the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has decided to launch the Sustainable Yachting Network, along with the Monaco Yacht Club, the Monaco Yacht Show, the Cluster Yachting Monaco and the Ramoge Agreement Secretariat.
The initiative’s main goal is to support a network of engaged actors (Shipyards, designers, captains/crews, ship owners, equipment/raw material suppliers, service providers, federations, regulators, media, educators) and promote environmentally responsible actions and solutions for the yachting industry. The margin for improvement of the sector on its ecological impacts is still very important and SYN wants to help support the transformation of the industry in becoming a true leader of a modern environmentally responsible economy.
It proposes to support this network through 3 main axis of operations:
- Efficient match-making conferences and events meant to be effective in linking new sustainable solutions with new needs.
- Information tools which will annually synthesize all new solutions and technologic advancements, new projects and regulations which help the yachting sector to have a better impact on our planet.
- Support of projects and programs which promote the development of new ecofriendly solutions for the industry and/or link environment conservation with the yachting world.
